About me
Hi! My name is Genie Shermak (Mrs. Shermak to the students), and I've been teaching at KVCS for the past 7 years. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Music (Piano/Voice) from Point Loma Nazarene University, and I am an active performer in the Bay Area. I have 15+ years of experience in Music Education. I live in Concord with my husband Cory and our dog, a yellow Labrador retriever named Leo.
There's something unexplainably beautiful about the sound of children singing together. To me, it's the most beautiful sound in the world.
Starting this choir has been a long-time dream of mine, and I'm so excited to start this journey together. Thank you for joining me!
